Who We Are

The Solar Skin Co. (Formally The Hood Hippie Co.) was established in 2019 by Jasmine Keepler amidst her time in Massage Therapy School. During a lesson, her class began to explore the healing properties of an array of essential & carrier oils, and from there it sparked an interest that continues to grow. On the brinks of a pandemic, there was nothing but time and space to venture and that's exactly what she did. Jasmine dove deep into skin and self-care, developing and perfecting not only body butter but soaps, facial washes and more with natural ingredients. She began to make products for the use of her family, and slowly, the word began to spread. Over the course of a few months, products by The Solar Skin Co. were in homes within her local community. 

Since then, Solar Skin brand has blossomed into a vine that yields to none. We’d like to think of our brand as one with many sides—embracing natural beauty but adding to its element with obvious creativity. Needless to say, creativity has endless channels, so we aim to channel as much as possible with the natural resources we all have access to.
